Water is an essential for life; not only does it hydrate us, it helps keep our body healthy. On average, an adult requires 1.5 to 2 liters of water daily when they are living in a temperate climate and if they are in hotter climate then drinking more will help them a lot. Our body is basically composed of 70% water and so one of the essential requirements of our body to function well and stay healthy is water. This is the reason why people die of dehydration after several days without water but can survive with water alone when they are on hunger strike. The cells in our body, our vital organs and our brain require water to fully function.
The cells need nutrients so they can thrive and keep producing; without these nutrients, they stop multiplying, they deteriorate and die causing irreparable damage and life threatening illnesses that affect the vital organs. Water is the carrier these nutrients and so if you don’t drink enough water you will likely contribute to the death of these cells.
In processing the food that we eat; we need water to breakdown the food and process it to become the essential nutrients for the cells and the vital organs. Without water the food is not digested and utilized properly and it gets stuck in your stomach, resulting to bigger fat deposits.
Without water or at least enough of it, elimination of toxins through urination and bowel movement is also impeded trapping more toxins in the vital organs. These abnormal functions result in serious damages and can often be fatal. All over the world people are getting sick from diseases caused by unhealthy diet and lifestyle. The government spends millions of dollars for research and treatment of these diseases that could be prevented in the first place if people will just take care of their bodies more carefully.
We invest our time and money on so many exercise and diet programs to lose weight and be healthy but water is very cheaper and is made available to everyone. Water is essential for life so drink up.
